Jessica was raised in Cecil County and is a graduate of Rising Sun High School. After attending Cecil College, she began a successful 15-year career in the mental health field.
In 2015, Jessica returned to school to pursue her passion for natural resource conservation. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management from University of Maryland and soon after joined the Cecil Soil Conservation District as a Conservation Technician. Through her dedication and expertise, she advanced to the position of Engineering Technician within just a few years.
Jessica was excited to join the District in a role that aligned with her commitment to environmental stewardship and the protection of natural resources in her home county. In 2024–2025, she was selected to participate in Maryland LEAD, a prestigious leadership development program that prepares individuals to serve and strengthen Maryland’s agricultural, natural resource, and rural communities.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys backpacking, fishing, hiking, skiing, and kayaking with her daughter, Ava. She remains dedicated to providing conservation assistance to local landowners and supporting Cecil County’s agricultural community through locally led conservation efforts.
