The Cecil Soil Conservation District hosted their 68th Annual Cooperator’s Banquet on January 16, 2014. The Outstanding Cooperator of the year honors were presented to Mt Ararat Farms.

Mt Ararat Farms committed to implementing a variety of best management practices to protect the natural resources located on the farm as early as 1945. Through the years, Mt Ararat Farms has demonstrated commitment to agricultural preservation, implementing sound management techniques, and the installation of a variety of best management practices. Mt Ararat is also working with the District to meet the challenges of the new Maryland nutrient management regulations. The Cecil Soil Conservation District proudly honors Mt Ararat Farms for their extraordinary dairy operation and rich history of conservation.
